We got off the boat in Nassau and Ryan and I went on a glass bottom boat tour, walked up the queens steps, went to one of their forts and then through the straw market. We enjoyed our down in town!
The boat to the left was the boat we went on a few years ago and the GIANT ship is what we were on this time! An incredible difference!
Atlantis. That bridge between the 2 towers is a "room" that is $25,000 per night with a 7 night minimum!!!
The house in the middle behind all those trees with the brown dock was built by Elvis Presley (well it was his, he probably didn't build it himself!). And the steps to the left of it are really beautiful and a very popular place to get married!
This is Oprah's house and yatch. She also has a guest house just to the left that is just as huge!
Another view of just really how big our boat was. It is the one to the far right.
We saw a lot of coral and fish, but nothing out of the ordinary. It was cool, but wish we could have seen a shark or turtle or giant starfish! The ocean still amazes me though!
David and Kris Thornsberry (very front), Mark & Rebecca (middle)-our very dear friends from high school/college, and Ryan and me
Glad that wasn't our boat!
The queen's staircase. This walkway was carved out entirely by slaves with just axes and hammers. It was incredible!
This tree was growing up the side but it was amazing to see the roots growing on the exterior of the wall.
Of course Ryan had to climb the boulder
Ryan, Mark and me at the bottom of the staircase!
This beautiful water tower was at the top, which is the highest point in Nassau.
Fort Fincastle sat just next to the water tower.
Mark and Ryan got put in jail.
Ryan and his hook and pattie (we had these for the first time on a mission trip to Jamaica and he LOVES them, so he grabbed a few just outside of the straw market). We took this pic of Ryan and the pirate just for Samuel (he still loves piratey things).
Taking a break together before dinner. We really had a great time togethert!
One of the shows was an ice skating show. It was pretty impressive, and we were on the front row!
Joe on the flowrider. He was concentrating pretty intently and never smiled or did anything we tried to get him to do. Though the moment we started talking and not paying attention he started yelling at us to focus!
Ryan, attempt number one
Attempt number two
and crash!
Abby was the only lady that was brave enough! She did a great job!
A little more guitar hero! He is a true rock star in his pink polo!
Mark had to get this drink once he learned it was "Truett's Tropical Tea". He said it was pretty tasty!
We brought the kids back a few trinkets. First was a rain stick we picked up in the straw market. Samuel was very excited about it.
We also brought back a few noise makers from the RED celebration. I know the kids had a great time, but we may regret the noise makers very soon!
