Happy Anniversary

A month late, but we celebrated nonetheless! Ryan and I got to sneak away to Topsail beach for the day last weekend (baby free I might add) to enjoy a relaxing day on the beach! We walked, played in the ocean and just relaxed in our chairs! What a great way to celebrate 4 wonderful years of marriage! Looking forward to many more days like this!

and he walks...

Samuel has been walking here and there for about 3 weeks now. Mostly will only take about 10 steps at a time before he decided crawling will get him where he needs to go faster. Nonetheless, here is a video of him walking!

Founder's Day

Our church has an annual Founder's Day celebration in June and we celebrated it today. It felt like it was about 100+ degrees outside, but we played hard nonetheless! Here are a few pics from our afternoon!

Samuel discovered the hula hoops...he had quite a great time playing with them!
We cheered daddy on from the side!
Sweet little June, asleep the whole time!
Shelley talking with Caroline. It was so sweet!
Charlotte playing with the chalk
Lily Kate and the dizzy bat!
Nancy and Samuel, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Nancy loves Samuel, and I think he really loves her too!
Crawling and climbing...the story of our life right now!
Sweet Charlotte again playing with the hula hoop!

Our garden grows!

Well about 2 months ago we were amateur gardeners. Now I feel like a pro, well not really, but we have a TON of fruit on our garden plants! Check it out!

Two of our cucumbers. The golf ball is there for size comparison! We have about 7 that are close to this size and about 10 or so more that are a bit smaller. I think there are still more to come based on the flowers on the plants! Anybody know how to make pickles?
Our Better Boy tomato plants. This is just one of them, if you look closely you can see a red one in the background. I think it will be ready to pick in just a few days! I can't wait for my tomato sandwich!
Grape tomatoes. This is just the best angle I could get with the majority of tomatoes in view. There are about 10 other sets of tomatoes on the other plants.
One of our blackberry bushes. We are having to pick them as they ripen because the birds are pretty quick. But they are delicious!
Our first ripe blueberry! I can't wait for the rest...there are TONS!

Double Trouble

So, if any of you know Ryan well enough you know his love for sunflower seeds. Last night we were watching a bit of TV before we went to bed and he enjoyed a few handfuls from his nice little container. This morning I heard a shaking noise and this is what I found. I think that Ryan will be happy that Samuel has decided to start his addiction early, but I am not so sure I am on board!
