Garden Harvest

This year we planted several varieties of tomatoes, onions, garlic, cucumbers, peppers and sunflowers.  My sunflowers are pretty huge and have been making our house beautiful over the past couple weeks.  Our blackberry bushes have also been giving us some delicious fruit!  Today we harvested a bunch of tomatoes, pepper and onion.  Can't wait to keep harvesting and making yummy summer dishes!

A Fireman Birthday

 Samuel had his 4th birthday last week and had been asking for a Fireman Birthday for many months!  He knows where every fire station in the city is and even knows and points out each of the hydrants we pass!  We went to our fire station and met the firemen, learned about fire safety and even let the kids climb into the trucks.  They all seemed to have a great time. Samuel has asked every day since we left when we can have another birthday there!

 Thanks to a nasty GI bug I wasn't able to make Samuel his firetruck cake he wanted, but orange and red cupcakes were still delicious!
