An afternoon at the beach

We spent the afternoon on the beach and Samuel was ready for some great pictures. I think this is going to be the beginning of a great summer on the water.

Samuel kept eating sand. He didn't seem too thrilled that it didn't have taste, but he ate it anyway!
Helping dig his hole a little deeper
Happy to be in the sun and the sand
Throwing sand in the air, this made him very happy!
Oh so proud of his abilities of taking his hat off.

Playing Hide and Seek

Samuel has a few cabinets in our kitchen that he is allowed to play with. Well tonight he decided he wanted to play in his cabinet instead. This is what we found...

can you tell what we had for breakfast?

Samuel is really enjoying food these days. He loves just about everything you put in front of him. This morning he had some strawberries and as he put each piece in his mouth he would smile really big and giggle a lot. Ryan and I were laughing back at him and it just got funnier and funnier.

does it get better than this?

My dad was here and went for a run with Samuel in the stroller. This is what we saw when he got back home!

Mother's day

What a great Mother's day it has been. This is how we finished a very relaxing, yet productive day!

He tried to take the camera as I was trying to take a picture. Here is what I got.

Mommy's little helper

This morning while the house was still asleep (that is everyone but Samuel and me) we decided to do some dishes. After Samuel's breakfast he decided he could be a big help!

After he tried to help me unload the dishwasher he decided he would be better suited to unload my tupperware cabinet. Isn't he so cute!
Check out that big belly

Our new pet

We found our new friend in the yard tonight as we were checking out how our garden was doing. Do you think we should let Samuel sleep with him tonight so they can keep each other company?

Well, just to clear the air, we did not keep this slithery buddy, nor did we ever think it could get any closer to the house/Samuel than he did (I spotted it when we were a good 30 feet away). It gave me the willies, I grabbed Samuel and sprinted into the house yelling for John to come take care of it. He helped it get back to the other side of the fence to a safer home.

How does your garden grow?

We planted a garden late February and here it grows. It has been pretty exciting to watch everything sprout up and get a little giddy about all of our yummy veggies we will enjoy this summer! We planted Peas, cucumber, spinach, carrots, corn, large tomatoes, grape tomatoes, 2 kinds of bell peppers, blackberries and blueberries.
A close up shot of our (from left to right) cucumbers, carrots, spinach, and the peas growing up the lattice in the back.
One of our blueberry bushes with lots of little blueberries! Can't wait!!!

Baby swimming pool

We got Samuel this little swimming pool to enjoy this summer since we don't have one and neither does our neighborhood. He seemed to really like it, except for the fact the water was a bit cold.
