Our new house

Ryan and I have been looking for a home for the past month or so. This past Saturday we walked through this house and fell in love. It is in the process of being built and it is awesome...has everything we want! We went home, talked about it, prayed about, prayed some more and decided we would sit down with the developer to discuss the upgrades we wanted and possibly put an offer on the house. As we went through our long list of things we wanted they responded "well it appears as though we have already added that upgrade." We were so very excited. The only thing they hadn't upgraded was a completely fenced in backyard and a larger water heater. We then went to pick out our hardwoods, carpet, cabinets and countertops. As we were there our AMAZING realtor (also our friend) asked if they would throw in the fence and water heater with the current price of the home, and they said sure! So basically we got all the upgrades and the home of our dream for an unreal price! We will be visiting probably weekly and will document the progress of the build! We hope to close and move in the first week of November!

Ryan is standing at the end of our property line...we have a HUGE backyard!

Catching a smile

Samuel has really started communicating with us and it is so much fun. Today, while we were playing, Samuel was just laughing and smiling. I thought I would catch it on camera, which sometimes can be quite the task, but totally worth it! Our little man has become quite his own person and we are really enjoying him!

Things I have been learning lately!

And by lately I mean the past several months!

* moving every 3-5 months takes a lot out of a person
* I Love living at the beach
* Being pregnant and swimming is absolutely wonderful
* Having community and friends is so fulfilling
* I really know that I am right where God wants me to be
* Living far away from old friends is hard
* Living far away from family is sometimes even harder
* It is important to really pray for the things you desire, God does hear and answers prayers
* Little boys are so much fun
* Being counseled and discipled by older women is amazing
* I really enjoy/miss cooking real food every day
* I enjoy the challenge of grocery shopping with coupons and seeing how many items on my receipt end up being free
* I really enjoy working with my husband, but I also enjoy being home with Samuel...and it is very hard to do both
* Making friends is hard, but when you find great friends it is so much fun
* Having a child really puts in perspective the greatness of God's love for us
* I enjoy dating my husband

I know there are many more things I am learning and relishing these days! I simply wanted to post something other than Samuel photos (I was told that it makes my blog more intersting!).

I love Grocery Shopping

Thanks to my friend Liz, I have been introduced to the wonderful world of coupons and the "grocery game". Tonight, Ryan and I went to our local grocery store and bought 6 brownie packages for a mere $0.05!!! We added it to our already large selection of Betty Crocker goods that are cluttering our pantry! I think we will be making brownies for the next few months, so if you are in need of some sweets, come on over!

I realize my baby is getting so big!

We have a little swing downstairs and I remember the first time I put Samuel in there he was so small and just fit in the little "bowl" of the swing. Now he is actually filling it out! We are having so much fun watching him grow and develop!

Samuel at 5 and a half weeks!

Going Swimming

We took Samuel down to the pool today.  Thanks to Ryan's mom we had a great little hat for him (though it is HUGE on him!) it protected him from the sun well.  He seemed to like the water alright, no major complaints!  I think he might just be a little fish in the future!

I am One Month Old

Sunday Samuel turned 1 month!  He is starting to show some personality and even smiling!  We are really enjoying him and the joy he brings us!
