We finally got some furniture for our screened in porch and I have been looking at different ideas for coffee tables. I found one and asked Ryan to make it for me. We picked out some wood from a few pallets and got the rest of the materials from the hardware store. I am loving that he likes to try to build and challenge himself and I am loving how this table turned out!
Playing in the Rain take 2
Ryan finished the table and decided it would be fun to join the kids! This was the first of MANY trips down the driveway! We all had a great time!
Playing in the Rain
Saturday it rained, and rained, and rained. And it rained HARD! In a short couple hours we had quite the "puddle" or maybe even lake in our front yard/road. Ryan was working on building a table (more on that soon) and Charlie was hanging out in the garage with me. He kept sticking his hand out in the rain and I finally encouraged him to go out and play. He had a blast! I called Samuel out and they just played for about an hour between sprinkles and torrential downpours! I took a ton of pictures and just couldn't decide what to share, so here are a ton!
Riding the Ferry
Ryan took the day off and we decided to make a fun family day of it. We spent the morning at the beach and then ventured out on the ferry. Samuel has been on it before, but this was Charlie's first time.
Charlie's reaction to the horn blowing to inform everyone we were starting to move!
Checking out the other boats and looking for sharks.
Go Karts
One of Ryan's employees gave him some free passes to Jungle Rapids so we headed over for a few hours of fun! Samuel and Daddy rode the go karts and had a great time. Charlie and I cheered them on each time they drove by! I love exploring fun new things with our little ones!
Charlie was mesmerized by one of the rides off in the distance, hence the dazed look!
Phone Download
I have found it so much easier to snap photos with my phone these days and realized I hadn't updated our blog in a long time! We have had a fun summer going lots of places all over Wilmington, spending lots of time at the beach, and Samuel has been spending a lot of time making art in the afternoons.
Samuel got some fun art supplies for his birthday. Here he is wearing his safety goggles while watercoloring, using stamps and colored pencils. He wanted lots of options!
Still our favorite places to be in Wilmington and one of my absolute favorite views!
Charlie feeding himself. He was quite proud of his work, thankfully he has gotten better at aiming the spoon for his mouth!
Taste testing the cookie dough to make sure the cookies will be delicious
Every little boy needs lots of fire trucks. Charlie loves to line them up on the windowsill.
Samuel is dressing himself these days. This was his outfit of choice on Friday!
