Britts Donuts

Britts opened this weekend.  If you have ever come to visit us during the summer I guarantee that Ryan has found an excuse to head down to Carolina Beach for some delicious treats.  Today, with "opening season", it was no exception.  We got there and I am pretty sure there were 75ish people in line but of course we had to wait.  Ryan took the kids through the arcade and then down the boardwalk while I held our spot.  After 41 long minutes of waiting the donuts were finally ours.  It was pretty cold, so we went back to the car to enjoy our Saturday afternoon snack.

He was getting excited because we were finally close enough to SMELL the donuts

Someone wondering where his donut is!

Surprisingly daddy shared a few bites with our little munchkin.

Easter Party Preschool Style

Samuel's class has an Easter party on Friday since our spring break is this week.  We all sent in eggs and the kids all got to find 15 eggs!  Samuel was super excited.  These aren't great pictures, but this kid moves fast!  They also had a fun Easter snack back inside, but with Charlie on the run I didn't get any good pictures!

checking out each others finds.  These two are still inseparable!

Happy Tuesday

Daddy got some fun mustaches in his Christmas stocking and Samuel found the package today.  He was excited to wear this one, until he realized it tickled.  He asked if he could wear it all day on his back!  What a funny kid!

USS NC Battleship

We packed up the family Sunday to head to the battleship after church.  Sunday was "be a tourist in your home town" day and the list I read said the battleship was part of it.  Of course when we got there we found out that the list I read was wrong and they weren't participating.  Hadn't exactly planned to spend the $ today so we decided that Ryan and Samuel would go with our friends (a dad and son event now) and the moms and babies would head back home for a nap.  I think they all had a great time!

Bruster's Free Ice Cream

Brusters had free ice cream for anyone that came in their pajamas all day Saturday.  We decided that meant we could stay in our jammies until that night after dinner!  We packed up the kids and headed there.  Stephen met us there and we all thought it was pretty funny that both Stephen and Ryan ended up wearing the same PJs (thanks to Mrs. Clause for our Christmas Eve PJs).  Samuel was very excited about his chocolate ice cream with sparkles (sprinkles).  We all had a great time!
