Valentine's Cookies!

We are having fun celebrating Valentine's Day.  Ryan and I will be out of town on Valentine's Day so we decided to do something fun for the kids before we left.  Samuel and I spent a good bit of time last week baking cookies and preparing for our friends to come over!  I know that all the kids were so excited to be decorating cookies.  Lots of them even said, "I'm going to make this one for my daddy!"  So daddies out there, I hope you enjoyed your sprinkle/heart covered cookies!  We love our friends and had a great time with them this afternoon!

A Day in our Jammies

My car was getting an oil change and new tires this week, so we had one day at home with no way to get anywhere!  We stayed in our pajamas as long as we could (Samuel all day, Charlie and I changed after breakfast and a quick little movie).  The boys had a great time playing in the playroom, Samuel learning to share and play with Charlie, and Charlie giggling and laughing with each new toy and sound it would make!  We did play outside a good bit because it was actually a nice day!  Glad to know we always can entertain ourselves at home if we have nowhere to go!

These are some of Samuel's favorite "pananajamas" because they have have pockets in the front.  He tells me every time he wears them that they keep him the warmest because he can put his hands in the pockets!

BeBe gave us these great puppets for Christmas.  Charlie LOVES them and laughs every time they talk or do anything! (please excuse the snot dripping down his face!)

Charlie's first time coloring.  Of course he really just wanted to put the crayons in his mouth, but he did get a few scribbles out!

Samuel showing Charlie how to paint.  Can you find the alligator, spaceship and fire engine? I love Samuel's imagination and the things he loves the most!

The Dunes

After many months without access to water we thought it was time to get our bathing suits (or baby soups as Samuel calls them!) and head to the water park.  Myrtle Beach has a great resort with 2 indoor water parks so we, and 4 other families, packed up and headed south!  We had so much fun playing together, eating together, shopping, resting and watching movies/basketball.  Already looking forward to next January when we are itching for some swimming!

These two can often be found together.  They did a pretty good job of taking turns picking the show they would watch.

LK's birthday is Tuesday, so we celebrated with a delicious cake and some singing.  She was LOVING every second of eyes on her!!!

Samuel loved the "big kid" slide.  I think he rode it about 100 times!

Playing in the "sprinkles".  When did my little baby get so big???

Charlie LOVED being in the water!  Daddy had fun with him too!

Watching a movie together!

The moon Saturday night was incredible.  This picture doesn't do it justice!

After our last slide down the waterside!

Marbles

We decided to head up to Raleigh for a day to see some friends and for the kids to play at Marble's, Raleigh's Children's Museum.  Ryan stuck with Samuel and I stuck with Charlie, so needless to say we spent most of our time in different areas.  We all had a great time and can't wait to go back!

Our Little Fishermen

We have had some beautiful days lately so we decided to walk up to the little pond at the front of our neighborhood to "fish" and feed the ducks & turtles.  Charlie rolled down the hill several times and worked as hard as he could to get as close as possible to the water!  Thankfully Daddy was right there to keep him dry!
