Flooding in Atlanta
Well I am glad to say today that we aren't in Atlanta, but our family and friends are and we have been praying for this rain to stop. The pictures and news stories we have heard seem pretty bad and the loss of homes that we know people have experienced, even the loss of lives, is so devastating. Our friends, know that you are in our thoughts and prayers! Lord, let the rain stop!
An update on the house
Ryan and I have been trying to go by the house a couple times each week! We went this Sunday afternoon and they have all the drywall up and are starting to seal/patch the cracks! They are supposed to start clearing the backyard and landscaping this week as well as finishing up the walls! Hope you enjoy seeing the progress!
Our new house
Ryan and I have been looking for a home for the past month or so. This past Saturday we walked through this house and fell in love. It is in the process of being built and it is awesome...has everything we want! We went home, talked about it, prayed about, prayed some more and decided we would sit down with the developer to discuss the upgrades we wanted and possibly put an offer on the house. As we went through our long list of things we wanted they responded "well it appears as though we have already added that upgrade." We were so very excited. The only thing they hadn't upgraded was a completely fenced in backyard and a larger water heater. We then went to pick out our hardwoods, carpet, cabinets and countertops. As we were there our AMAZING realtor (also our friend) asked if they would throw in the fence and water heater with the current price of the home, and they said sure! So basically we got all the upgrades and the home of our dream for an unreal price! We will be visiting probably weekly and will document the progress of the build! We hope to close and move in the first week of November!
Ryan is standing at the end of our property line...we have a HUGE backyard!
This is our family room that I am standing in
